I love Washington Heights for its supportive artist community, and the many opportunities it offers for creative folks (like me) to express themselves.
For this year’s Closing Reception for the 2012 Uptown Arts Stroll, I was invited to perform alongside other local artists at Arka Lounge. I’m so happy and grateful to be an active part of this thriving community.
Special thanks to Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) for everything they do!
The Uptown Collective blog features more photos from this event, from DJ Boy and others. You can also check out my Facebook photo album.

For all my Uptown NYC Friends in Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood – I have an outdoor performance coming up in a lovely neighborhood GARDEN close to YOU!
That’s right: On Saturday, June 11th at 2:30pm, I’ll be performing a short set in the lovely outdoor setting of RING, the Riverside-Inwood Neighborhood Garden. Art in the Garden is a local art exhibition with musical performances and readings by local artists, and part of the 2011 Uptown Arts Stroll.
The RING Garden is located at the convergence of Broadway, 200th St (Dyckman) and Riverside Dr. The closest train is the A train to Dyckman/200th St.
Art in the Garden and Uptown Arts Stroll is sponsored by the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance
