The Music Marketing Machine course is designed to teach singers, musicians, rappers, producers and bands how to market themselves, build their fanbase, and sell their music – without a traditional record deal. The course is equal parts lecture, Master Mind group, networking meeting, and supportive community.
This course is limited to 30 up and coming, and established musicians who support each other’s goals for musical success while also reaching for their own. One night a week for four weeks, you will meet with your group, complete homework, and create your own customized marketing plan.
Most importantly, we’ll have fun along the way. In addition to practical weekly tasks, there will also be “Cinematherapy” homework: suggested movies and DVDs to illustrate each week’s topic!
I’ve also partnered with Ariel Hyatt from Ariel Publicity, who is providing an online mastermind component for the Music Marketing Machine via the Ning Social Network. Everyone who signs up for my course, will have access to this private forum, as well as receive Ariel’s new eBook “Music Success in Nine Weeks: A Step-By-Step Guide to Supercharging Your PR, Building Your Fanbase and Earning More Money” (A $34.95 Value!). The online mastermind forum will enable you to get extra marketing and publicity support outside of class, as well as meet additional likeminded musicians, both in and out of NYC.
In this four week “incubator-style” course, you will learn how to:
* Conduct market research on your musical genre
* Develop a Unique Selling Proposition (USP) for your music
* Review DIY (Do-It-Yourself) indie music success stories
“Carla Lynne Hall is like your cool-ass aunt that gives you the real deal about the music business”
– Darrell McNeill, Executive Director, Black Rock Coalition
* Discover your core target audience & increase your fanbase
* Find new places to perform
* Build a personalized “Hot List” of music industry contacts
“Carla, thank you so much for your insights – you really have inspired me to get into music on a professional basis.”
– Emma Wolfin, songwriter
* Use “Web 2.0”, new media, and other technology to gain greater exposure
* License your music for film and TV
“Carla, thank you for speaking at our Networking Meeting. What made your appearance so special was that, not only did you provide information on sources of income that many songwriters may not have considered, but you did it with ‘heart’. I thank you for giving so much of yourself.”
– Bob Leone, Projects Director, National Academy of Popular Music
All participants will receive a Music Marketing Machine Workbook for designing their own individualized marketing strategy.
