CLH Teaching “Practical Toolbox” in Denver
Hello IFA Participants (and anyone else visiting my blog)!
This weekend (Sept. 29 – Oct 1st, 2012) the Internet for Artists workshop is in Kalispell, MONTANA where I’m joined by my illustrious Co-Leaders Steve Lambert, Ann Marie Lonsdale and Brad Stephenson. It’s gonna be a great weekend!
Today’s Joyce Barrie & Friends show on “Masterminding for Success” inspired by Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich was fantastic!
While waiting for the show to start, I told Joyce about the book, Outwitting the Devil, that Napoleon Hill wrote in 1938 but was suppressed for 72 years! With two minutes to spare, she contacted her Napoleon Hill expert friend Ted Ciuba, who called into the show to weigh in on the controversy surrounding the book. The backstory for this book is quite fascinating, and it was quite exciting to discuss this book with someone else who was not only a fan of Think and Grow Rich, but also is an expert about Napoleon Hill.
If you have ever read “Think and Grow Rich” or are a fan of Napoleon Hill, you will want to check out my latest talk, “Masterminding for Success!” on the Joyce Barrie & Friends Radio Show! If you want more, you can also listen to Episode 12 of Rock Star Life Lessons, which is also about the benefits of having your own “Master Mind” group.

If you were unable to see the debut of my new TV show Carla Lynne Hall: Music Trekker last week on Manhattan Neighborhood Network (aka MNN), it comes on again tonight (Tuesday, Sept 25th) at 11:30pm EST on Channel 34 on Time Warner Cable in New York City.
If you don’t have Time Warner Cable, you can also see the show on Channel 82 on RCN, or Channel 33 on FiOS.
If you live outside of NYC, you can also watch the show LIVE online at 11:30pm on http://www.mnn.org/live/1-community-channel
Carla Lynne Hall: Music Trekker
I am soooo excited to announce the debut of my new TV show on MNN: Carla Lynne Hall: Music Trekker!!! The first airing takes place TONIGHT, September 17th at 9pm on Channel 34 on Time Warner Cable in NYC! You can also tune in for the live simulcast from ANYWHERE on MNN.org.
CLH: Music Trekker is a travel show, and the first season will focus on the musicians and musical venues in NYC. Tonight’s debut episode focuses on frequently asked questions from musicians considering a move to New York City. The next shows of the season will be on location in NYC, and I’m looking forward to performing around town.
As my show is influenced in large part by Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, I can appreciate the irony that my debut show is going up against his time slot. But not to worry, the next air dates are: Tue, Sept 25 at 11:30 PM, channel 34 and Thur, Sept 27 at 3:30 PM, channel 56. Set your DV-Rs!
You can also LIKE us on Facebook at Facebook.com/MusicTrekker!
Finally, I must thank all of the friends, mentors, and colleagues whose ideas, encouragement and support helped bring this show to life: Jonathan Stone, Craig Ali, Thomas Paul, Gina Ratliffe, Gloria Messer-glovideo, Sissy Gamache, Jeremy ShowStopper NY-cortes, Christopher Wright, Ronald Thompson, PLUS Stefani, Roberto, Richard, Chuck and anybody else at Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) who gave me the time of day! 😉 I am grateful!
So this month, I have a brand new poll for you. It’s short and anonymous too! 😉
This time, I’m inquiring about musician fanbases: Are you happy with yours??
Survey Questions:
* How often do you perform live?
* What’s the size of your email list?
* In general, how often do you send a group email (newsletter or blast) to your fanbase?
* Do you use an email management system to send fan newsletters?
* Are you currently using an automated widget online that gives fans a freebie in exchange for an email address?
* Have you posted a music video within the last 12 months?
* What’s your #1 challenge or frustration with your fanbase?
Are you wondering where your year has gone? If so, it’s not too late for a reset. Check out my latest talk on the Joyce Barrie & Friends Radio Show!
