The final installment from my University of Miami Mini-Concert, which took place in 1995. I’m already behind in my weekly video postings, but it’s not for lack of content. There are tons more videos where these came from – aren’t you lucky!!! 😉
Here’s “Stormy Monday Blues” performed by yours truly in 1995 at University of Miami School of Music.
“Well, finally, one day you are over him. They bring out the old pulp tester to see if there’s any life left in the tooth (your old late love affair) and there isn’t . . . . Eventually you will be a bit aghast, maybe even ashamed, that you ever took him so seriously. . . . Him? Why couldn’t you just have enjoyed the sex and headiness of it all without being so federal-case out of your brain about him? You couldn’t. You never can, and you must never apologize to yourself for the man that you’ve given all that passion to. He was the one at the time, and if you cared, you cared. God bless.”

I’m not at this place yet, but I like knowing that I will be one day…
While a Studio & Jazz Vocal Major at the University of Miami in 1995, I performed a “Mini Concert” as part of my graduation requirements. As one of this year’s resolutions is to publish new videos each week, I’m starting with the archives.
Should be interesting (notice how short my hair was then)!
Not feeling particularly passionate today, but seeing this gapingvoid cartoon by Hugh MacLeod made me smile.
I’ll be back soon, but I’m taking more time to recharge – and color my hair 😉
Happy New Year! I’ll be up and running by the time everyone else has forgotten their resolutions.
