On October 24th from 10am -7pm, the Skillshare Teachers Meetup Group is having a Coworking Event at New Work City in NYC where you can bring your laptop to work for the day, and learn more about teaching classes for Skillshare.com!
This meetup is limited to 10 guests, and costs $30 (to be paid at the door). If you’re already a member of the New Work City Coworking Space, it’s FREE.
New Work City is located at:
412 Broadway, 2nd Floor
New York, NY 10012
nwc.co
(212) 226-1585
Meetup Organizers (and Skillshare Master Teachers) Nate Cooper and Carla Lynne Hall will give mini-presentations from their Skillshare presentations, and answer your questions about what it’s like to teach for Skillshare. Skillshare’s Community Director Danya Cheskis-Gold will also be on hand to talk about the Skillshare platform.
If you’re not familiar with Coworking, Wikipedia.com defines Coworking as “A style of work that involves a shared working environment, often an office, and independent activity. Unlike in a typical office environment, those coworking are usually not employed by the same organization. Typically it is attractive to work-at-home professionals, independent contractors, or people who travel frequently who end up working in relative isolation.” In other words, Coworking is a great alternative to working in coffee shops and cafes, or in isolation at home.
Bring your laptop, meet some people, and get work done!
All attendees will receive MP3 replay of Carla’s interview with Jeff Ramos, fellow Skillshare Master Teacher who shares his tips and tricks for teaching and promoting his Skillshare classes!
